A Review: "Until It Fades" By K.A Tucker
"Until It Fades" is the kind of book that is easy and extremely fun to read. The story centres on a single mother who is 24 years old. Catherine is working at her local diner trying her best to make ends meet and create a better life for herself and her daughter. Her teenage years where surrounded with scandal and shame, a situation that created a huge conflict between her and her family. Determine to build a better life with little to no help from her parents, Catherine gets a job, rents a small house, and gets a crappy car. On the day she decided to go on a blind date against her better judgement, she saves a man and the rest is romantic history.
When I first read the back of this book I was hooked. I love New Adult Romances because it's a great middle of YA and regular Adult/Romantic fiction. What I really loved about this book was how easy it was to be sucked in to this world. I mean, who doesn't want to save a man who happens to be hockey player, who is rich, and hot? I mean I do!! But the book is more than that, it really asks a lot of questions about about love and what it means when the two people involved are from two very different worlds? To complicated matters should you fall in love with someone you rescued? But most importantly, it talks about about how love can change you even if you had forgotten about it or even if you had decided it was not meant for you.
Catherine and Brett both have to let go of their fears and take risk that they are both afraid of. I think K.A Tucker explores a love story in a unique way, yes a story like this has been told a million times; but Tucker brings a fresh and different perspective in a this simple love story. If you are the kind of person that loves a good love story, than this book is so for you!! It is exciting and you will be so sucked into that you will feel like this is actually happening to you!
If you are looking for the perfect beach read, summer read, or the perfect road trip read, then this book is perfect for you!!
