5 Realistic Ways To Unwind After A Stressful Week
Some work weeks can test your patiences and others are filled with too much to do and not enough time. When work has been busy and really stressful, often we look to the weekend to relax; so here are five easy and realistic ways to unwind and relax!
1. TAKE A SHOWER/BATH
After a long and stressful week, nothing feels better than running a bath for yourself. Surround your bathroom with scented candles, add some bath balms into the water, sink in and relax. If a bath is not for you take a nice hot shower and relax those tense muscels
2. have a good meal
If you have a had stressful week, it probably means you haven't been eating well or even healthy. Take time to make yourself a healthy meal or order something you have been craving. Fill yourself with goodness and nourish your body.
3. Watch something good
I bet during this stressful week, you have barely had the time to catch up on your favourite show or even watch the show everyone has been talking about. Well, this is the time! Put on your Netflix or play all the shows that is waiting for you on your TiVO.
4. READ something good
If you don't want to watch anything, then pick up a book or magazine you've been dying to read. Reading is sometimes the best way to unwind. You can escape into a whole new world that doesn't have any of your stress in it. This is why I love reading so much.
This is the part were it really matters. You have taken your bath, which has relaxed you, you have nourished your body and your soul with a Netflix and a good book. Now is the time to sleep. Get your full 8 hours. Allow yourself to let go of all the stress and sleep.
