5 Types of Products To Use To Combat Dry Skin This Winter

Winter can reek havoc on your skin; causing dryness, patchiness, or giving skin conditions a chance to get worst. I suffer from ezamza and now I started getting psoriasis and although these are not supper terrible, they can affect your overall skin and also make you feel not so good about yourself. So I have gathered a few ways to deal with dry skin during the winter months!

Oils: I love oils!!! They are literally my new favourite products to use!! They are a perfect way to combat dryness and patchiness on your skin. The best oils for your overall skin would be coconut oil and shea butter! For super dry skin, use lavender oil which is  super healing for your skin! For those with supper dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, lavender oil is literally a miracle oil! For your face, use rose hip oil, marula oil, and a sqalane oil! They will retain moisture while also moisturizing your skin, giving you beautiful glowing skin!

Masks: Masks are the best! Using them once a week can help deep clean and moisturize your skin. I recommend using a mask that will not only moisturize your skin but also deep clean it too! I love the life brand masks from Shoppers Drugmart and the body shop also has amazing ones too!

Lotions: For your whole body, using a super moisturizing lotion is the best way to go! Go for ones with Shea butter or coconut oil, this can give you the moisture you need. Also add some essential oils into your regular lotions! I have mentioned some above that can easily be added to give your skin what it wants and needs.

Serums: Serums are thing and I am so glad they are a thing! They are a great way to help keep your skin moisturize during the winter months! Especially for your face! My favourite serum would have to be the hyaluronic acid serum from Deciem! It is literally the best! It will keep your skin continuously moisturize while maintaining your skin's natural moisture levels. Incorporating moisture based serums to your skin routine is the best way to keep your skin from dryness and patchiness!

Exfoliates: Sometimes we add moisture but are skin is still dry, patchy, and flaky; and the best way to get rid of it, is to exfoliate. There are a few ways this can be done. You can do it manually with a cloth and mild soap, scrubbing gently until your skin is smooth. Another way is to use exfoliating masks that work on taking away the first dry layer of your skin. Another is to go for a gentle exfoliating body scrub or face scrub. Using these daily can really help your skin remove dryness and give you smooth and healthy looking skin. Another thing you can do is go for exfoliates that you can use once a week. These are harsher on your skin if used everyday, but if used once a week, it can really help your skin with dryness and dullness.
