4 Kinds Products You Can Double Cleanse Your Face With
If you are not double cleansing your skin then you are doing something very wrong in your skincare routine. Don't worry, I am totally here to help! Double cleansing is basically cleaning your skin more than once before putting on your moisturizer. The thing is, your face cleanser's job is to go into your skin and take out impurities, but that can be hard if the surface of your skin has make-up and dirt on it. So, it is so important to take out the first layer of dirt and make-up, so that your cleanser can actually do it's job. Here are four types of pre-cleansers that I love.
Cleansing Oils: I have become obsessed with cleansing oils! They are amazing and they are a great way of taking away layers of dirt and make-up on the skin so that your cleanser can actually go in and clean your skin. I started using cleansing oils and my skin is so much cleaner and healthier. I am currently using the Biossance squalane antioxidant cleansing oil and it is so amazing. I highly recommend adding a cleansing oil to your skincare routine.
Essential Oils: If you want to go a more natural route, using essential oils to-pre clean your skin before your cleanser is also a good idea. Essential oils are everything! The best ones to use are coconut oil, olive oil, and shea butter, there are great ones too! ( Look below at "shop the post" for suggestions) You can use a table spoon or so and rub it gently into your skin, creating the best cleansing oil. Totally give it a try.
Make-Up Remover Wipes: I love make-up remover wipes. They are actually the best! I have used them for many years. They are so easy to use and take little to no time. There is no rinsing involve so that makes it the lazy girl's way of cleaning your skin. I think if you are going to start with a double cleansing routine, start with make-up wipes, it is an easy step into double cleansing.
Toners: I love toners, often they are used as the last step in cleaning your skin before serum or moisturizers. Toners shrink your pores, give you a smoother complexion, and also clean up anything your cleanser left behind. And for that, I love them. If you don't to do or use any of the above things, I recommend using a toner because it will cleanse your skin even more.
These are the perfect ways to clean your skin before actually going in with your face cleanser. I think double cleansing is so important and if you want to know more about it, watch the video below! Very informative, if I do say so myself!
