8 Books To Put You In The Valentines Day Mood

Valentines day is around the corner and whether you are single or have someone, you should pick up these romantic novels to get you in the mood for love!

“The Last Summer: Of You and Me” By: Ann Brashares. This novel follows  two sisters and the boy who lives next door. This book is so sweet and lovely and although it is a good summer read, it is also great for Valentines day! It will allow you to see what true love means and the sacrifices we have to make for those whom we love.

“My Name Is Memory” By Ann Brashares. This book is about time travel. Do you believe in soul mates? Do you believe that love can transcend both time and death? If so, then this book is for you. This book follows Sophie and Daniel who are meant to be together, except Sophie has no idea why she has an undying attraction to Daniel. But Daniel knows and he will do anything to make her remember. This is a love story that will make your heart leap for joy!

“Twilight” By: Stephanie Meyers. If you don’t know about this book then you have been living under a huge rock. Although the saga is over, Twilight still holds a special place in my heart. Due to this, it was quite hard to just pick this book out of the whole series. But I feel as though “Twilight” is the most romantic because it is such a wonderful adventure waiting to be had. The story follows Bella who moves to a rainy city and falls madly in love with a vampire.

.

“A Thousand Splendid Suns” By Khaled Hosseini. This book is not all about love but there is a powerful romantic narrative between Laila and Tariq that is an absolute must read. Their love story is not a typical one, theirs story is one of hardship, war, death, and survival. The book doesn’t center around Laila and Tariq’s love story but on Laila and her friend Mariam, who struggle to stay alive. This book is powerful and amazing. It will change your perspective on life and love.

“The Time Traveler’s Wife” By: Audrey Niffenegger. This is one of my favorite adult fictions of all times. I first read this book at the age of nineteen and fell completely in love with Claire and Henry! This story follows Henry who can travel through time and his wife who is always left waiting and worrying about him. It is a beautiful romantic read! Perfect for those who are single and those who are coupled.

“Play With Me” By:Janice Maynard. This erotic novel follows three best friends who vow on their 30th birthday to live out their wildest fantasy. The stories are pretty basic but they are also hot and heavy. You will definitely need a glass of ice water after reading this book.

“Before I Die” By Jenny Downham. This book is as romantic as it is sad. Tessa the main character is losing her battle with cancer but she falls madly in love with Adam. It is a bittersweet book about falling in love at the wrong time. But there are some really hot and heavy parts to this book and although it is sad, the love story is the brightest part of this dark novel.

“Catching Fire” By Suzanne Collins. This is the second novel in “The Hunger Games” series and I think it is the most romantic. This is the book we actually get to see Katniss admit her feelings for Peeta and Gale. Peeta is the perfect love interest in this book because he is sweet and honest to a fault. You can’t help but fall in love with him. It makes you wonder why it takes Katniss so long to notice that he is the right choice and the right one.
